My wife called Orkin (it mentioned squirrels in their phonebook ad) but they are closed for "weather". Unbelievable. So she called Home Paramount. Said they'd have someone here between 12 and 2. Was around 10:30 when she called. This sucks. I work nights and I need some sleep. My wife had a dentist appointment so she's gone. My son, who was supposed to have a half day of school, is now staying a full day because that's what happens to pre-schoolers when everyone else has a half day. My daughter is with my wife. Meanwhile, I'm here alone waiting to be viciously attacked by one unhappy rodent.

:lmao: Couldn't you have just called animal control if you couldn't capture or shoo it out the door?

Could be worse than you think.
let me tell you a little story.
we had those little tree rats get into our attic a few years back.
The chewed through a corner of the soffet and I didn't notice till they, and a family of raccoons moved into the attic.
I finally trapped the raccoons, then closed off the holes making sure they could not get back in.
The squirrels were evidently pissed off and ended up chewing through the roof to get back in.
I noticed it when a rain storm caused the ceiling in the kitchen, and the back room to collapse.

The clean up in the attack required the removal of all insulation, disinfecting all of the surfaces, installing new insulation and of course, new ceilings.

Get them out of the house fast before they can do any damage.
