Nope, you want good ribs go to Charles County and swing into T & J's Rib Shack. Best ribs, chicken, and pork chops in the area. If you really want a treat get the Pork Chop Sandwich with sauce on it.

Two votes for Smokey Joe's. If you are in Waldorf then it's Lefty's.

Make that 4 votes. Son has been smoking a pork shoulder (butt) since 9am, getting close to done I think. We're going to finish it off in the oven, I think 6 hours is enough smoke and dry heat.

I don't like Outbacks BBQ sauce. Best ribs I had recently were surpisingly at Chesseburger in Paradise. They were soo good my wife even ate some, and she hates ribs.

Judging by the meal I had Sunday night from the Outback in LaPlata, I'd say "NO". They're running a special menu with a portion of the proceeds going to Veterans, so I thought I'd order. The menu items that apply is very limited and the steak I had was horrid. Ordered medium, it was nice and pink in hte middle but it was charred (black crust 1/4 inch thick) on each side. Tough as shoe leather. Won't be going back there, won't recommend it, either. I agree the T & J's has great ribs (really smokey tasting), I'd say Texas Ribs runs a close second. But I'm more of a babyback rib person, and I love Ruby Tuesday's or Fridays.

Save your Outback money and go to Texas Roadhouse in LaPlata or wait for the one in California to open....TRH puts Outback to shame....Their ribs are pretty good too...
