Fox Continues Cheerleading For King's Anti-Muslim Hearings | Media Matters for America (http://mediamatters.org/research/201103090015)

"Fox figures and guests have continued their aggressive promotion of Rep. Peter King's (R-NY) upcoming hearings on the radicalization of American Muslims.

Fox Guest Catherine Mann-Grandy: People Should "Applaud Peter King For Having These Hearings." During the March 8 edition of Fox News' America Live, host Megyn Kelly interviewed Catherine Mann-Grandy, who was reportedly removed from her husband's conservative talk radio show for comments about Islam. During the interview, Mann-Grandy stated that there is "stealth jihad ... going on in our country every single day" and encouraged people to "applaud Peter King for having these hearings." [Fox News, America Live, 3/8/11]

Hannity Guest Schlapp: King "Ought To Be Praised For What He's Doing." During a March 8 Hannity segment on King's hearings, which were referred to in the on-screen text as "Terror Hearings," GOP strategist Matt Schlapp stated that King "ought to be praised for what he's doing." During the segment, Hannity defended King's hearings by calling President Obama "timid" and "gutless." [Fox News, Hannity, 3/8/11]"

MediaMatters.org, making 6th Graders immensly proud of their school project Newspaper article since their founding. Because your less than average 6th grade school newspaper article is more compentent then their best work!

The Headline alone violates basic tenants of journalism, let alone the rest of the stories.

Its clear they are NOT interested in the truth, interested in reporting, interested informing people as to the facts, they only exist to twist the story to fit their agenda.

MediaMatters.org is the media equalivalent a monkey slinging its own feces against a wall, maybe some of it will stick.

Yea, Fox News is the Problem. :coffee:

He, and most folks supporting him are about as anti-muslim as most folks are anti-immigrant. When are these folks going to learn that if your point requires you to deliberately misword things, like leaving out "radicalized", or "illegal", then your argument probably sucks.

Exactly:

Control the Language and you Control the Debate

How underhandedly and intellectually dishonestly Liberals try to change the language in a debate, just shows how far out of the mainstream they are.

The name chosen for the hearings was "radicalization in the American Muslim community". And every description by those involved fits that name perfectly.

Of course MediaMatters.org decided to change the name of the hearing to "Anti-Muslim".

What better proof do you need, Liberal arguments can't stand on the facts and honest debate, like most things, Liberals cheat to get ahead.

Yep, the whole point of these hearings, as I understand it, is that while the vast majority of Muslins do not support terrorism, what they are doing is allowing the folks who ARE supporting terrorism, by fundraising from older Muslims, usually falsely by claiming the money goes towards helping innocent folks and engaging in the radicalization of younger ones, to operate without either stepping in themselves, or reporting such activity.

The point of the hearings is to try and find out what we, as a country, can do to get these otherwise patriotic folks to help stop this sort of stuff. 20 young Somali men disappear from Minneapolis, you dont recuit that many without someone in the community knowing they are being radicalized. Why wasnt it reported as it was happening?
