HI all,
Anyone have a suggestion for a good restaurant for a rehearsal dinner? Expect about 40 people and prefer to stay in St. Mary's County. Don't mind spending more for better quality and service, and the type of food at this point is pretty open. Would like a private or semi-private room so we're not in the middle of a crowded, noisy place. TIA.

Not sure if they have a private room but I've heard good things about the Italian restaurant in Wildwood. La ???? I'm sure someone will know the name of it on here.

For the life of me I can't think of any place in St. Mary's County. But just over the bridge at the Hoiday Inn is Isaacs restaurant, they have rooms you can rent and have a buffet or sit down, call them at 410) 326-6311 and speak with Jennifer, she can most likely help you or pass you along to someone who can. We go there quite often for dinner and their holiday buffets, the food excellent.

Check out Lenny's. They have very nice rooms for private parties. You may want to talk with Cafe de Artistes (sp?), we held a party there and paid to have them close the business to other customers that night.

Island Bar and Grill (where Evans used to be) - great location and seen rehearsal dinners there
Porch area of The Tides - easily accommodates that size
Victorian Candle B&B in Hollywood - was in there once and have a large private room - pretty cool place. They do the cooking right there too!
Cafe des Artistes has a private room like they said
Front Porch has a room on top floor
Mixed feelings on La Tabella
good luck!!

I had my rehearsal dinner at The Front Porch in Leonardtown. It was nice and they were very accomodating. Just a suggestion. :huggy:

we had ours at the tides. They have a private room that opens to a patio. It was very nice, and the price wasn't bad at all. Less than we were quoted at clarks landing, and much nicer IMO.
