There is a basket in the living room full of dog and cats toys. Everyone has their favorites but every now and then a new one emerges to cause hours of pleasure and enjoyment.
After combing an enormous ball of fur off of Ivy, I rolled it between my palms and it looked like the stuffing out of a toy. She took this hair ball in her mouth, dropped it on the wood floor and started batting it around and throwing it on the air. Since then- and since it *is* shedding season, I have been saving the hair and making more of these hair ball toys. All the cats are playing with them and they have been moving them to other parts in the house; including the bedroom upstairs- which I stepped on one in the middle of the night (first thought was MOUSE!)
So now we will add cat fur balls to the basket of YEEOW cat crack toys, plastic rings off milk jugs, toys that sound like mice squeaking and birds chirping, socks filled with newspaper, fleece pillows, etc.

LOL. Maybe you need to start making your own cat toys and selling them in your stores.

I take my clumps of brushed out cat hair and put it outside for the birds to use as nesting material...they love it!

I have done that with both cat and dog hair before. But the cats are getting so much pleasure out of their hair balls, I'm putting the birds on ignore for now!
