Who's going to be watching?

I usually get up at 0445 anyway, so I'm going to catch some of the guests coming in and I'm staying home to watch the ceremony and the carriage ride to the palace. I already told work I'll be in late.

BTW= I'm watching it on BBCA (directv). Full, uninterrupted coverage!

Me!! One of my strongest memories as a kid was my mom waking me up to watch a princess get married. Now I have a daughter a little older than I was and she wants me to get her up to see it.

I won't be getting up super early, but I will be DVRing it. I'm more interested in the fashion than anything else so I'll be tuning in to E.

My cousin and her husband are at Lakenheath and their son attends kindergarten at a local British school. Apparently they've been talking up the wedding to the kids because he is super excited. He has a commemorative mug, but he won't let his mom drink out of it because he says she'll ruin it.

My alarm is set for 4am. I don't have to head off to work until close to 7am so I hope to see a good part of it. Clothes are laid out for tomorrow and I will shower before bed. I was 10 when Diana got married and I did not see the wedding until years later.

I was lucky enough to see Luke & Laura get married though. sorry off topic on that. Anyway watching a royal wedding preview show on TLC right now and just waiting for tomorrow.

Do you have BBC America? If not, all of the major networks (ABC/NBC/CBS) are probably covering it. I know NBC is for sure, starting at 4 AM.

No BBC for me. I have channels up to 97. I am watching TLC now and they say they will start at 5am with broadcasting. I will probably go with channel 4 or 9 if they start at 4am.

I'm torn. I watched Charles and Diana, then Andrew and Sarah but they ended up divorced. I'm pulling for William and Kate so maybe if I don't watch it, they'll make it.

I didn't want to watch..but being home on leave I got all caught up watching all the specials on tlc and bbca. All the details are secret so they developed several specials on speculation alone..but I enjoyed hearing about them meeting at school and such. Its nice to hear some good and happy news for a change. I will probably be up with the monster anyway so I may catch a bit of it. Now, I just need to hop on a plane and go catch harry's eye so I can have my own royal wedding ;)

I think you should watch it. I think they do have a true love. Now does not mean it will it be a sustaining love that will remain to be seen. They have many years under their belts already though. Charles has always loved Camilla but she did not wait for him in the beginning but she got him in the end. As far as Andrew and Sarah I think they still get it on. I think they may have just been to strained and possibly maybe a bit too freaky to continue to be married. Diana was picked soley to make the monarchy look good and continue on after all Charles was 30 or older when they married. The monarchy just did not expect the Diana would be more popular then them.

Harry is way hotter and probably much more fun in the sack too. You would still get to be a princess but you would have a bit of freedom too. Damn Charles is too old and Will and Harry are to young for me I am off by ten years on either side.:killingme

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have made fashoin faux pas headlines again. Good lord. One looks like she came out of the Wild Wild West movie and the other looks like a crazy person. That giant bow hat, what IS that?

Royal event fashion is very... disappointing. Especially when you have to looks at those girls.

But Kate looked absolutely beautiful. Nice to see a royal dress that isn't gaudy. She looked very classy.

I think Eugenie's hat would've worked if she'd been wearing a more understated dress/suit. And Beatrice's coat (and what I can see of the dress underneath) is quite nice for the event, but the hat is ridiculous. And somebody needs to take away her eyeliner.

As beautiful and stylish as she is, she strikes me as being very self conscious. She may not like her smile? I agree though, it's a little weird to be in such a grand situation and not smile. You could tell she wanted to when they were walking into the Abbey - the corners of her lips would start to turn up and she'd get a little twinkle in her eye, but she'd just purse her lips to keep it under control.

They're in mid-kiss, so it was before the flyover. And the crowd probably hit a crescendo with their cheering as the kiss was about to begin.

I can not get over how absolutely beautiful she looked today. She was like a real life Disney princess!

I liked the sweet moments at the altar...when Kate was walking down the aisle and Harry smiled and turned to William and "Wait until you see her". And when she stood beside William and he said "You look beautiful". I wish I could watch weddings every day.
