People need to learn to slow down. There seems to be so many accidents along that stretch of road lately.

Christy is taking a detour because of it. She said it looks bad and traffic is a mess.

Never ceases to amaze me how many people crash when they are driving in a relatively straight line.

How straight a road is doesn't really have a whole lot to do with anything in this case. If it was a drag strip, everything would be just fine. But, since it is a working roadway, there are factors that do not exist on a drag strip.....like oncoming traffic; curves; turns; the random "critter" running onto the roadway. Those things are what precipitates accidents. Speeding just exacerbates the issue. So when you hit a deer at 65.....70 miles per, the end result is devastating.

What caused it was not the issue.... It was merely a comment on how many accidents there seem to be on relitively straight stretches of roads.
