The only way I was able to navigate here is finding an archive and then clicking on the latest version. I have been getting 404 "Not found on this server" for over 4 weeks.
Is this something wrong with comcast?
Has some block been installed?
Are others fighting with a 404 message? (It lets me look at classifieds, news, weather, but blocks access to the forums.--very odd!)
I have no guarrantee I'll be able to navigate back here.
I see the posted response on my comcast e-mail but will block if I click on it.
weird.

I have comcast and am not having any problems with 404 messages. Can you access it via another browser? Most people use Internet Explorer but it sometimes has its little quirks. Try to see if you can access the forums using Firefox. If you can, then it's a browser issue. If you can't, it probably has something to do with some kind of setting on your computer and someone with more expertise than I will need to help with that part of the problem. Good luck!
(if you don't have firefox installed already, you can get it free here (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/).)

I saw your post in my e-mail notification...read it,...went to reply and Boom: 404 notice.
Yes, my Browser is Explorer...hmmm.
I was able to get here by choosing one of the results using the results of the search function on the 404 page: (Back door entry?)
I have Firefox at work...my wife might have it here at home,...perhaps I'll switch.--Thanks!

Hessian, send David an email outlining the problem - include your IP address so he can make sure you're not blocked on this end. He might have a solution for you.

We occasionally receive comments that people can not access a somdcom site. Sometimes you might have tripped the firewall, but you would get a timeout, not a 404.
A 406 error indicates you have tripped a security flag.
Anyway, if you're having problem getting to a *.somd.com site, please do the following:
1) Generate a screen capture of your browser window that shows exactly what you typed in the URL address field and the resulting message you received at the time you tried to access *.somd.com. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, there is a utility called "Snipping Tool" in the Accessories folder than will generate a screen capture and let you save it as a JPEG file. There is also a program called SNAGIT available online for download ( TechSmith | Snagit, screen capture software, home page (http://www.techsmith.com/snagit/) ) -- which used to have a 30-free trial.
2) Find out your current IP address. Visit What Is My IP Address? Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more... (http://whatismyipaddress.com/) and record the x.x.x.x number it gives you.
3) Email all of the above to support-at-somd.com with a brief explanation. If for some reason the email comes back as undeliverable, send it to somd.com-at-gmail.com.
