I have to verify with my company that monster is my dependent..so they need a birth certificate..how exactly do you get that?
Also, the lady told me I could use a verification of birth from the hospital signed by an administrater..but I don't have that either. I left a message at the hospital..but I didn't get anything like that, nor did I get a "souvenier" BC that the lady mentioned could work too..im confused...I wasn't interested in paperwork I just wanted to get the hell home...
also, I did a search..but searching for "birth certificate" is a bad idea. 300 posts about obama. 300.

They normally send that a couple weeks after the baby is born. You might have thrown it away by accident I almost did
You can actually order the birth certificate online I think they charge an additional fee but I think it is worth it rather than waste gas and part of my day to sit at the health department.

Yeah I just tried myself and it was $24 plus $10 plus shipping. They must have raised their price. Well it will be $24 at the Health Department. Guess you gotta decide if you want to drive there sit and wait or just pay the extra and order it online.
If you don't have a title for that baby it's not yours yet.

Ant the bastards want 15 bucks to ship it to you..unless you use reg mail then it is free..but takes a week to a week and a half longer to "process" before it is sent. Umm why does the shipping method make a difference to processing?

Same parking lot as the nursing home in leonardtown. Bessie Lane, I believe is the road. Across from the college (rt 245) Hollywood side of the light at tr 5 and 245. In between the light and the funeral home. Turn in, the building is the single story on the right. That's about as specfic as I can get without going with you to show you where :killingme
I believe they are open until 4.
BTW, I've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes to get a printed birth certificate there.

I was never sent my sons birth certificate. I do remember receiving a notice saying that if I wanted to buy one to go to the health department.
As for insurance, I guess I lucked out with that. I called BCBS after discharge, and told them I had just had a son. They said that as long as the bills came in stating I had a live birth and supplied his SSN within 30 days, he would be covered.

Not the actual certificate but they send you a birth registration notice. I almost threw mine out thought it was trash. I just pulled it out of my file here and it says that the cost of the BC is $12. Wow that was mailed 11-17-09 the price jumped $8 in less than 2 years crazy!!!

interesting. When little me was born in 05, I did not receive a birth registration like I did with the other two. When I went for my two week check up, I swung by the health department and paid for her birth certificate. I think it was 20 bucks.

Which hospital was she born in?
Usually the hospital is the cheapest (if.not free) option. Goto he records department and they'll make you a copy.

I called st. mary's and was told they don't send ANYTHING to new moms. You get a card with the footprints on it while youre there..but they issue nothing, and give you nothing. which is why I was confused about the insurance lady saying I could use a verification of birth. I never got a thing, and according to st mary's never will.
In MD..they tax you just for being born.

14 extra bucks. There was an option for free shipping, but with a disclaimer that it too an extra week and a half to "process" and extra time to ship. And that it couldn't be tracked. Outrageous. 35 dollars for a piece of paper. I was livid.

Think when I had Sprout in December it was $35. I haven't gone to pick it up yet, though
They were only $10 10 yrs ago...you couldn't use a recent shot record signed by your doctor? I have used those in the past when I 'misplaced' their birth certificate...

O'Malley needs your money. Since he ran off all the rich people there's nobody left to.soak for.more.money.
Amazing how much he's quietly getting away with. I don't think the media.has mentioned all of the rate hikes he's.introduced since the last election.
