The point being that if you are going to say something negative about someone and do not have first hand knowledge (you saw the person do it, or heard them say it, or they wrote something to you), or are not citing some authoritative source (like a court document or news article from a credible news source), then you should let the readers know that what you are saying is a matter of your personal opinion. Personal opinions are still permitted, and like the old adage says, opinions are like anuses, everyone has one. Thus the reader is put on notice that what you are relating may in fact be far from reality, and the reader can then choose to believe it or not.

In my opinion, the best advice for everyone is not to believe a single thing you read in any forum on its face value. Do you own research and come to your own conclusions.

For Lance and other similarly intellectually-challenged Clem-like forumites. This is an open internet forum. Some have suggested that I am not, as I have claimed, BatMan. I will sue anyone who would go there. I have worked far too hard to make this friggin suit look good on me to have some morons picking at the details. I'll have a little let in here and a little let out there, OK? but jeez..give it a break.

You "Vrai" are the one who represents SoMd dot com, so if you say something then it could be seen as speaking for SoMd unless you declare it as your own opinion or your own belief.

Otherwise if I say or post some thing as libelous then it is only myself to blame and not SoMd dot com, and no one else either.

Of course I never libel anyone anyway.

And it needs to be a personal shot against another person in order to be libel, because talking trash about big Companies or about the gov are long time 1st Amendment activity.

IMO.

Bestest pickled eggs you ever et (in my opinion). Beet slices, onions sliced, hardboiled eggs (chicken are OK..quail eggs even better) all left to soak in vinegar/sugar pickle juice.

Used to always see a 2-gallon jar of them on the counter of every general store..back when we still had a lot of general stores. Right next to the red hots, giant cucumber pickles and pickled pigs feet jars.

I say it took me 7 or 8 years, as I started here on the Forums around 2004.

I took French 1 as a Freshman at Ryken High School, then took French 1 again as a Sophomore at Ryken, then as a Junior I went over to Chopticon High School and never took French class again.

Of course I can still count to 10 in French.
