Here is what happened.

This am a guy woke up in his car that was parked at the green door and noticed he had been cut on his arm and he wasn't sure how it happened.
The Dispatchers on the fire/ems side were thinking that since the guy was cut that there had been a stabbing the green door. they sent the police to figure out what had really happened they also wanted to make sure nothing was going to happen while the ems checked this guy out as there were many cars left at the green door lastnight.

well they did this am.

I heard the call pretty much as described, the communication was on police channel though, all they told EMS was arm laceration and stage until police safe scene.

i just listen to the online police scanner and half the time you can't tell who is talking to who. You are right cobbweb i must have had it backwards thinking the ems were the ones who asked for the police to check the area and go to the dude who had been cut.
