Seems to have developed overnight.
I was up most of the night tryin' to breathe.
Noggin' feels like it's stuffed with ballistics gel.
(I was watchin' Mythbusters over the weekend. The analogy seemed to fit).
Nothing moves.....can't "snort" it; can't blow it out.....ears pop.....
All it wants to do is P.N.D..
Looks like another trip to the Doc for me. ohjoy /:-\

Not a good thread title when you view it from the main page... :lmao:

But that's what gets it read.
I could have said, "Is YOUR Head full of thick.....too?"
Now THAT is not a good thread title. Right?
Two of the letters in the alphabet for me right now are: "Ebb" (M) and "Edd" (N).....

Thanks Afrin makes my nose bleed, and it's expensive too. Use the Store Brand stuff. Drink plenty of water too..it helps to thin out the goo. If it is a regular Summer Cold, save yourself the Co-Pay, and let it run it's course.:poorbaby:

I'm drinking SO much water I feel nauseous. You're right. It does help; so now I have some "relief". I'm just waiting for the time when I can freely "evacuate" what's plugging my head up. I figured when the 100-something temps finally broke; I'd get sick.
I'm gonna get some chicken soup later, too.

a shot of Afrin and a few moments later- a good netti pot = Instant Relief

Mucinex! I swear by it.
Chicken soup should help, too, it's GREAT for colds. Also, hot herbal (no caffeiine) tea, with lemon & honey, if you like that.

I have never tried one. My 12 yr. old Nephew did; thought it was great.
Me, well, I use the damp wash cloth and heating pad. There just something about pouring hot water up your nose that I can't quite master. I wind up choking. I know.....you're not supposed to snort it.....but still.....

Last night for dinner, I passed up BK for Lipton chicken noodle soup and Bigelow Constant Gourmet tea with honey.....then one or two Hall's cough drops in the middle of the night.
I'm gonna get some Mucinex though. My head feels like a drum.

Are you actually full of ick? Or are you just having inflammation that makes it feel that way? Either way I hope you feel better!

I don't use a Neti pot, but people I know do & like them. I DO use a sinus rinse bottle and it really does help. You don't use hot water, just tepid/lukewarm and mixed with the saline packets. A couple of times a day until you start to feel better. It works.

My Dad uses a sinus rinse bottle, since his neuroblastoma/cancer surgery.
I guess I need to start using one too.

That's also possible, seeing as how I have BIG TIME allergies when Spring comes around. The Allegra OTC stuff works pretty well though.

I have the same feeling in my head...kinda like its going to blow up!
I was looking on line for home remedies and it says you are supposed to drink 8oz hot water, 2tsp apple cider vinegar and some honey all mixed up together. I am gonna try it as soon as I get home....supposed to be instant relief

Afrin and Allegra OTC worked GREAT for me. I've only been using these two things for a week and now I feel like I never had a problem.
