We found a kitten in the woods near the driveway last night on Bayside Road.
We can't foster the little one and would like to know if anyone is interested in fostering or giving the kitty a home.
Our hearts are torn if we have to take the kitty to the animal shelter. Please help.

Most kittens that end up at the area shelters are adopted out. The adults however are nor so fortunate.

That's why I said "most" - I guess I should have qualified that as MOST HEALTHY kittens get adopted.

just stating the truth... would hate to think the people dropping off a kitten "thinks" it WILL be adopted out.....
some people just dont have a clue! (and then we get to the Feluk/aids testing....)
and Arkie knows all to well about this! just shocked she didnt tell them at the start.

To me, being humanely euthanized at a shelter is better than starving to death or being picked up by a hawk or fox in the woods.

I agree. As hard as it is to put them down, I've had to do it many times. One of the kittens we took in a couple months ago tested positive at the vet's office, so I had it put down.
