You may want to consider that the officer is sitting in his cruiser, writing the reports he has to turn in before his shift ends and he can go home. Each deputies cruiser is a rolling office and it's where they do most of their mounds and mounds of paperwork!

why consider the best from them?...Do they consider, when I have to go pick up my son from the hood... because thats all a young man struggling can afford...thats what i'm doing? no. they assume the worst...that i'm down there to buy dope...I know this because 2 times thats what I was told by them..."you know, we gotta assume the worst sir." Or how about when I barely crossed the white line one evening...cop sees softball gear in the bed of the truck and asked me how much celebrating i'd been doing...even though I don't drink..."well sir, I just assumed seeing the softball gear...and knowing this county & softball..." yeah, you wanna assume the worst about me, i'll now assume the worst about you..."because we all know how crooked the cops around here are..."

Well, I guess we can label you a cop-hater. I just love your last statement:

"because we all know how crooked the cops around here are..."

Nothing like throwing crap up against the wall and hoping something will stick, huh? I would really like to go on a little more but I've learned long ago that facts and truth don't matter to cop-haters so I won't bother with you any more.

It's funny you should say that. I've often wondered if we are allowed to do that since technically they are public servants and we are paying their salary. Cops frequently roll up to cars sitting in a parking lot and ask what they are doing, so can we in turn do the same to them?

"Howdy sir. Can I ask what you are doing sitting in this parking lot?"

"Oh, filling out paper work? Excellent. Have a great day!"

Someone please do this and let me know what the response is! :killingme

What? It's a legitimate question. I've had cops ask me what I was doing when I was parked somewhere.

Why can't we ask what they are doing? I'm going to try this someday just to see what the response is :killingme

Would you go up to a random (non-police) car sitting in a parking lot and ask them the same thing?

I don't care if they're filling out paperwork or filling out their shirt with a three piece box of chicken.....it LOOKS better when doing it in a busy area than in the friendly confines of a golf course. And it was 2 cops in 2 cars, windows open and mouths yapping.

No, but I don't have random non-police coming up to my car when I'm sitting in a parking lot asking me what I'm doing either.

and in edit: I'm not saying the police shouldn't be doing that. I'm sure they catch alot of illegal activity go on by doing that, I just want to know if I can do the same to them.

Well, where would you like them to sit, in Starbucks? Paneara? WTF aren't you working instead of posting? Looks better to who, anyways? I wouldn't want a bunch of cops sitting at the table next to me in Chipolte while i'm talking with my friends.

Some cops are good, some are bad. Just like every other occupation.

but, I must say Calvert does have some fine looking po pos.

I by NO means hate cops.......I hate waste.

Why is it wasteful? Maybe they are taking a break after working a long shift? Maybe they are exchanging information about something they don't want over the air or via cell phone? Maybe they are staging, waiting to conduct some other operation. Why are you assuming the worst? Not a cop hater, but wouldn't afford the cop the benefit of doubt that there might be a legitimate reason for them to be there.

Truth and Facts do not matter to them what so ever. Any excuse to bash cops or to try to embarass law enforcement is all that matters to them. They are very predictable and they'll always be with us! Certainley in this story you've seen their 2 year old mentality. The "If cops can do this to me than I can do it to them" attitude is there for all to see. I would love to be there when one of them goes rushing up to a cop parked somewhere. I just hope they don't get shot when they do it.

Been a cop for over 20 years. Never have I heard a cop tell someone the b.s. you are spewing. Why on Earth, even if it were true, would a cop tell any citizen the b.s. you are tossing out?
