Found this baby snake in my garden on the front porch this afternoon. I've tried to ID it via Google, but not positive what it is. Looks somewhat like a water snake or perhaps a brown snake. Anyone know for sure?

Didn't stick it directly into the water; close though. We built a little snake bridge so he/she can take the high road over to GWguy's yard & dine on puffers.
