View Full Version : Smooth move, Barry
“Most Wall Street guys, they feel like they’re going to be burned in effigy.” He also said that other moderate donors are fleeing from Obama now that he has openly supported the OWS movement. (http://chicksontheright.com/2011/10/21/this-is-what-happens-when-democrats-support-ows/)
Maybe he'll have to limit contributions to a couple dollars like he SAYS he did last time.
I was thinking about posting about this as well.
I’m not sure how in the world Obama thought that supporting this freakshow would be HELPFUL to his campaign, but yeah. It’s not. A financial services lobbyist interviewed for the sourcelink said, aptly, “You can’t have it both ways. It just makes it harder for people who are Democrats in New York, Boston, Chicago to on the one hand be demogagued and then be asked ‘Hey, you can get your picture with the president for $30,000.’ It doesn’t square.”

The odd thing is, I see the government being the biggest business in the USA and the real problem, why don't they protest them? Who takes more of your money and spends it on stupid programs? Wall street, the banks or wall street?
At least you don't have to deal with a bank if you don't like them or invest in the stock market.
Well, Beck thinks this is a run-up to much more violent, European-type protests, which he thinks will conveniently coincide with November of 2012...let's see...what happens in November 2012? Something important...just can't put my finger on it.
But yeah, there are enough useful idiots out there willing to lay it all on the line if it means the anointed one has to declare martial law in order to contain the violent protests (and suspend elections).
Beck thinks this is practice, to work out the logistics of support, communication, movement, and so on.

Funny thing too, how small of a percentage of that '1%" are actually even in the financial industry, much less in it on Wall Street.

Simple.
His support has crumbled and, like any candidate, in order to be successful, he MUST have a solid base to build off of. The kids were the basis of his election; young, dumb and stoned. So, he HAS to get them back first. Once he does that, then he can start working on moderates again WITH the help of the young, dumb and stoned like he did last time. And, once he shows signs of being a decent bet, Wall Street will come back to him.
This is simple, easy politics 101 and this is why I think the TEA party has totally blown this issue. They just handed him his base back.
