My mother lives with me and is having trouble walking up our basements steps. I have a walk out basement and the door is below ground level, with 2 concrete steps that go up onto the back porch, which is also concrete. I need someone to rip out the 2 existing steps, and replace them with 3 smaller steps. I also need a removable hand rail installed (needs to be removed when we need to move furniture, etc.)

Any recommendations on someone who could do this fairly quickly at a reasonable price? It is becoming a safety issue as my mother lives in my basement apartment and needs easier access. I would usually tackle something like this myself, but I just don't have the time or knowledge to take this on and get it done quickly and safely.

Thanks in advance...

You may be better off with an outdoor chair lift.

or a ramp over the existing stairs

A ramp is a good idea, but it would be to steep, I only have a couple of feet to work with. This is an old house, and the porch is concrete, so I would have to remove more of the concrete porch to make a ramp.

The chair lift is a good idea too, but there just isn't room and I don't want to install a chair lift to lift her 2 feet.
