Just a couple from here in Western NC. The Elk are wild, but the buffalo is at a farm just down the road. Enjoy.

The color on your buffalo looks a little light, almost blonde...

Could it be a beefalo?

itsbob, I have seen beefalo, and no it is not one. With the light yesterday evening, it really did look blonde. It is a type of white buffalo. I don't think it is a natural born, it may have been bread to be a white.

How long was your lens? ie, how close were you to them?

GW, I was using a 300mm for most of these photos. At least one of the buffalo shots was with a 80-200mm. Distance to subjects varied from 30 ft to 75 ft I would guess.

Thanx. It looked pretty close, and that buffalo definitely had his eye on you....
