Anybody have any cool ideas for a six year old boy's upcoming birthday party?

I was thinking of maybe hiring a magician. Anybody have any contacts for one in the SoMD area?

Anyone have any other suggestions/ideas/comments to keep +/- 20 kids happy for an afternoon?

There's a lot of great suggestions. I'll follow up on them, aside from the hunting party ideas.

The moon bounce would be perfect if the party were in the warmer months....in January, not so much.

But the upside to a January party is that the Jell-O shooters will stay nice and firm until all of the kiddos get their six or seven down the hatch. :yay:

Just give them all a shot of Benadryl and tell their parents how well-behaved they were.

Go to one of the bowling alleys and set up a few lanes for bumper bowling. They put inflatable bumpers in the gutters so you can't roll a gutter ball. It can be alot of fun for kids!

Pirate Party. Costumes are easy, you can make treasure maps, have hidden treasure chests that they have to follow the maps to find -keeps them busy.

Does it suck having a birthday near Christmas?

I mean, most folks (who do), don't mind by the time they're grown up, but before that.....

mad science of southern maryland is fun and they also have a few gaming companies out now where they basically bring a big tractor trailer with all kinds of video game systems and the kids go inside to play. remag365 & gamin ride.
