Anyone have any experience with the current trainer and/or classes at Petco? I heard great things about Pam but I guess she is no longer there. I have calls in to some other trainers but it seems no one is starting puppy classes this time of year. We have an almost 4-month-old lab mix we just adopted - he is a good boy, but we are looking to keep him busy. I didn't really want to pay for private sessions because we don't have any specific issues - just a little boy we want to get out and about (and keep reminding him of his manners). Thanks!

Thanks - I do have a call in to her, but I'm not sure if he is old enough for her basic classes that start next month so I am exploring other options. Her basic says 6 months and up.

EBS - My guy called in and inquired about some of the puppy classes at Petco in Lex. Park. We have a new chocolate lab and would like to get her into training classes ASAP. The dog trainer at Petco is Laressa ... don't know anything about her. If anyone has any info - please share! :)

Sorry - should have said we are in St. Mary's and were hoping not to travel too far, hence looking into the Petco in California. We have ended up going to CAWL in Prince Frederick, which is where we got our little boy. Only reason we didn't go there from the start is the distance. Erin Jones there is really good and the drive hasn't been too bad. They have a nice set-up, better than the little moveable panels in a corner of the store that Petco has to use. We haven't been able to find out anything about Laressa at the California Petco either.

She has puppy classes too. You will need proof of shots to join. Bode was 10-11 weeks old when we started.
