Yeah, the problem is that by the time you've drank enough to commit yourself to a hangover, all bets are off when it comes to remembering to eat or drink water before you pass out.

I always try to drink a glass of water before I go to bed.

I never really paid attention until I read the article...but I really do have worse hangovers when I smoke & drink :dead:

Motrin 800, some food, and a glass of water. And a coke in the morning. Works like a charm.

Okay, but you know that all hangovers are accidental and not planned. The little devils just sneak up on you when you least suspect it. One minute you're having a beer with pals, laughing and telling stories; the next minute you wake up on the floor and simply opening your eyes a crack brings on a blinding headache.

A victim of demon rum.

Way back when I would eat a big ol fat medium rare cheeseburger before I did some serious drinking-worked like a charm. Tried drinking w/out eating one...ugh. :barf::dork::wah:

Hangover prevention 2012; I didn't have even one sip of anything alcoholic, went to bed at 1am, woke at 5 or so and, other than a little groggy, no hangover!

I had the opportunity to learn Canasta and played with a bunch of old folks who've been together to play every single New Years for over 50 years!!!!and the reputation of the group was of blood and guts so, I was terrified to not be 100% sober. Of course, they turned out to be a joy to play with.
