Never had a problem with sound on the computer,but after installing MagicJack,I cannot get any sound. Weird thing is,the speakers work perfectly for iTunes and things that are downloaded to the hard drive,but web based things,like Rhapsody,will no longer work. Anyone know what the problem might be before I call Geek Squad?

check your sound properties and make sure everything is right. a lot of times one of them will be muted.

Checked sound properties and it says no sound device detected,and all areas are grey.

I saw those q/a forums too,but there is nothing showing to add as my device. It's all just grey and doesn't allow any further action.

right click on your sound devices and remove, reboot, and let windows re-install them
