I contacted Dean lumber and got a price on a new front door which was a great price around $600-$700 and when i asked about installation I was told $ 500. That sounds entirely too much.

Wondering if anyone new of a good contractor that would be willing to do it for a little cheaper?

Tony at SOMD Windows and Siding did ours for $300. Don't have his # on hand but it shouldn't be hard to find.

Thats about right. Lowes wants (depending on the door) like 350-500 dollars. I guess you could call J&J Aluminum and skip the whole Lowes cut all together, not sure what that would save you.

Where did you get the door? Who did the install?

We just got Lowes to come measure and we picked out a outside door and a storm door...I think they were like $100 or less I will check
