Gizmodo just posted this on Facebook...
Anonymous Just Deleted CBS.com and Took Down Universal (http://gizmodo.com/5878238/anonymous-deleted-cbscom)
Has anyone heard any verifying accounts of this? Would prefer two or more sources of info to confirm. I'm checking but someone else might know more right now than I do. Gizmodo is usually pretty reliable with stuff like this but I like to confirm sources.

It's half that security protocols are known, and half that those lil bastards are smart.

And half DOS (denial of Service) attacks. They flood the servers with ping and information requests until the server overloads. They should have things in place to prevent that, but .........

I confirmed by just going to their site and getting this:
Index of / (http://www.cbs.com/) lists only a foundry.html I wonder why cbs was chosen?

Their site was back up when I tested. I did, however, find confirming info on a couple of other authoritative websites.
I believe that speculation was that it was related to cbs' stance/coverage of SOPA.
