Here's the plan:

Forums will go offline around MIDNIGHT FRIDAY 27-JAN-2012. They will be down for most of Saturday, maybe Sunday too.

This is just to copy the forums over to the new server - NO personal forums will be deleted during that period. So if you're trying to pull posts out of a forum that may get gone, don't worry about trying to get it done before the shutdown because they'll still be there for awhile after the forums are successfully moved.

We do this sort of thing over the weekend because that's when we have our lowest traffic. It's supposed to be nice outside all weekend, so you'll be able to find something else to do. :smile:

Yes, they operate independently of the Forums. If you would like to post info about things going on in the community, the other forum can be used (http://cafe.somd.com/. You can register for a new account. There is also the option to login using your Facebook account.

If there are any major delays anticipated during the migration, I will post bulletins here:
