She is still recuperating from her spay surgery, but wants to get outside and run around with LuLu (golden retriever).

It's my couch (and bed) in the dog house.
I've been sleeping out here with her, because I don't want her going up the stairs in the house.
She follows me everywhere.

I'm having my black Lab Maggie spayed on Friday. Please tell me it will slow her down for at least a couple of days.

Yes she is.
She wants to go outside and play really bad.
But she needs to heal first.

Six months.
Good.
A lot quicker recovery and a smaller incision (ours is 6 yrs old)
I always thought a spay was going in and getting their tubes tied.
But they actually go in and take out the uterus and ovaries.
I never knew.
Good luck with your pup.

The vet gave me a quick overview of the procedure. That's what he said they did. She mentioned that she might need some tranquilizers. Quick! Give me that prescription.
My previous three Labs were males. I kept them manly. There are OK once you establish yourself as the "Alpha Male". My female is a hand full. I've learned new respect for "Let sleeping dogs lie".

I always thought female dogs were easier to deal with.
Human females, different story.

Better the noise coming out the front end than continuously escaping out the back end.

I smell that too, every so often.
Sometimes I have to ask myself if I had slippage.
