BBQ or Teriyaki..... What's better?I'd say Stewed first, and Teriyaki second. Tell us what you ended up doing, and how it came out!!

Squirrel Fricasse makes the the most tenderest, & flavorful that I've ever had. Just add a little bell pepper and garlic and it's really good

I've always stewed mine. May have to try it the other ways. I've had groundhog barbequed and it was really good cooked that way.

You are all out to lunch. Put squirrel in cast iron skillet, brown lightly, then mix in some tomato, crushed red pepper and wine. Simmer in wine until tender. :yum:

My Grandpa used to make us squirrel and rabbit. I haven't eaten it since I was a kid.

I didn't think you were actually going to eat one; we would slow boil them until tender and then put them in flour and fry them til brown and crispy.........like chicken

I've actually had squirrel before, and it isn't terrible, tastes a lot like rabbit. it was dredged in seasoned flour and fried, yumm.

Sound like squirrel cacciatore, think I'll try it some time. Add bell pepper or whatever you want, but wine, garlic and the crushed red pepper are the key ingredients.

This place is a dieters dream. Instant loss of appetite...talk of bugs, snakes, roadkill every other thread. :yahoo: It works.
