Marinade made, smells great. Meat in it and now I get to wait until Monday about noon to cook it. Three hours later I can see if it was worth it or if I screwed up royally:lol:

Would you be so kind to post your marinade receipe? Have often wanted to try but never could find anyone who had actually done one.
Thanks in advance.

Sauerbraten Recipe (http://www.thespicehouse.com/recipes/sauerbraten-recipe)
I used a bit of gin instead of juniper. Too late to find those here. I used pickeling spice instead of saurbraten spice. This is all per migtig. I have never made it before. Had it once that I can remember and it was great. The lady who made it was a pretty good cook, though, so I have no idea how this will turn out. If this one does not meet my specs, I'll hit her up for the recipe.
Wenchy, If it turns out I will make it again and give you some.

Kinda tart taste, very tender. A real different thing for beef than you usually get. I really can't think what to compare it to.

Nothing like a regular roast except it is tender.

It is to beef what saurkraut is to cabbage... When I was newly married I tried to make this for my in-laws (trying to impress). All was going well until I put the Corning Ware on the (hot) stovetop and the whole thing shattered...meat and all. I was devastated. Think it would have been delicious, but I have never tried to make it again!

That had to feel bad. Had stuff like that happen before. Marinated a steak for carne asada for a couple days and had it ouside ready to throw on the grill and the dog got it. :killingme
