World-Renowned Gifted Education Talent Search Comes to St. Mary's County Public Schools
On Saturday, March 10, 2012, Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) will offer above-grade-level testing to interested students from St. Mary's County elementary schools as part of its Global Talent Search. Talent Search test scores will be used to reveal or confirm exceptional academic abilities, determine true academic peers, qualify students for CTY's Summer and CTY Online Programs and Rural Connections Scholarships (grades 7-8 only).
The test will be held at Esperanza Middle School (22790 Maple Rd., Lexington Park, MD) from 8:30 - 10:15 a.m. Interested families should reserve a space with Mark Riding by e-mail markriding(at)jhu.edu. Reservations should be made no later than Friday, March 2, 2012. This test is open to students in grades two through eight.
For more than 30 years Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) has identified academic talent in exceptional k-12 students. CTY supports these students with challenging coursework and other resources specifically designed to develop intellect, encourage achievement, and nurture social development.
