I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), and it seems that SoMD amplifies the effects SAD on my mental health tenfold more so than anywhere else I've lived, to the point I don't know if I can reasonably manage another winter here after this one.
Can anyone recommend any professional help that accepts Anthem PPO health insurance?

It's the rain. After a prolonged period I start getting depressed, too. Hitting up the tanning bed helps. Seriously.
Many therapists locally; most pretty good.
This is a treatable condition.
Best wishes.

They actually sell light boxes that help fantastically. You can put them in your home or office. But of course, talking with someone is best in conjunction with the light boxes. Hopfully you get some good numbers!

Maybe Anthem has a web site or phone # you can call to see who is in their plan?

I find that running around my basement* wearing nothing but nipple-tassels and holding a spinning wind-toy in each hand helps.
Not just seasonal depression, but it'll bring you out of any kind of mood-funk.
*I had to move it into the basement from the front yard, because the neighbors kept calling the police.

Can anyone spare a couple ounces of mind's-eye bleach? I really need some right now...:smack:

True. Just further proof that I need help too.
