Has anyone figured out how to keep it from logging you out at random times?

Not sure what you mean by "log out". Log out of what?

Go to your settings and you pick the stay awake time

I've got the iPad 1, and at least once per session on FB, safari will shut down and return to home screen. I have to start safari again and log back into FB. I am using the FB website, not the app. It will do this with some other websites, but it is consistent with FB. I am on the latest iOS - 5.something. My daughter's iPad 2 doesn't seem to have this problem, but she doesn't let me use it very often to truly know....

Huh - mine doesn't do that. Even if I close out the session and come back in a few days, iPad still has me logged into both.

I never have to log in unless I forcibly logged off.


Are you checking the little "Remember me" box when you log on? If not, and you get a network drop out or timeout, you would have to log back in.

I have the same happen every day. Usually it's when I am on websites like People.com and TMZ everyday. SOMD & other sites vary. I also have the I Pad 1. It also gets a few minutes ahead of real time each month. Once I hook it up to the laptop it fixes the time issue. My issue is with the Safari browser closing. I have not lost an open window.
