Map of Religions in the USA
What a GREAT MAP ~ check out your state!
I thought Obama said the USA is not a Christian Nation? Almost fooled me! How long do we remain the "SILENT MAJORITY"?
This is great.. a map that gives you the percentage of Christians and all faiths in each state! Click on the following and see the different religions by state and elsewhere by holding cursor over a state.
USATODAY.com - Topography of religion (http://www.usatoday.com/news/graphics/pew-religion-08/flash.htm)
Now ask yourself, why are we allowing our government and special interest groups, i.e ACLU, to take God out of our culture and schools? We need to step up!!!
Send this all over the nation and the world... let them all see!!!

The map is not misleading so long as we all know the fact that the different Christian groups all condemn each other in earth and into hell.
The original freedom of religion was here in our Maryland (Link = 1649 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maryland_Toleration_Act)) where the law only meant the different Christian religions could be free (tolerated), which meant that the law was to stop the different Christians from persecuting or killing each other. More precisely the original Maryland freedom of religion was to allow Catholics into the new world where the Protestants ruled.
Even that infamous doctrine of the separation of Church and State was meant to separate any particular form of Christian "Church" from governing the State(s).
That is why the USA is not a Christian nation, and the USA was established as a secular or non religious Country.

What I find interesting is the number of blue states that are predominately Catholic and the number of red states that are predominately evangelical.

Where is this doctrine written?

Where is this doctrine written?
I do not believe a doctrine has got to be written down or codified, but the first Amendment to the US Constitution is the way some people worded the ideal.
Link here = Separation of Church and State: A First Amendment Primer (http://www.adl.org/issue_religious_freedom/separation_cs_primer.asp)
If there were some part of the Constitution that did declare the Union as being a Theocracy or as a religious or Christian Country or Nation - then that would need to have been written down - but that was not.
