Varian, 32, was having a cigarette break after overseeing a wedding on August 21, 2010.

Limani took a cheese knife from a cutlery store and beheaded Varian as witnesses pleaded with him to stop. Prosecutor Alan Blake said he continued "as though transfixed, sawing".
