Swedish file sharing site The Pirate Bay has said it wants to launch its servers into the skies using GPS-controlled drone aircraft in a bid to avoid further crackdowns on illegal file sharing.

"With the development of GPS controlled drones, far-reaching cheap radio equipment and tiny new computers like the Raspberry Pi, we're going to experiment with sending out some small drones that will float some kilometers up in the air," read a recent post on the Swedish file sharing site's official blog.

"This way our machines will have to be shut down with aeroplanes in order to shut down the system. A real act of war."

Interesting concept....too bad they obviously don't understand how UAS truly function...vunerablities, airspace violations, etc.

Sounds like they are thinking kind of like this IMDb - Pirate Radio (2009) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1131729/) horrible movie IMO but neat concept.
