"A biological clue to male baldness has been discovered, raising the prospect of a treatment to stop or even reverse thinning hair.

In studies of bald men and laboratory mice, US scientists pinpointed a protein that triggers hair loss.

Drugs that target the pathway are already in development, they report in the journal Science Translational Medicine.

The research could lead to a cream to treat baldness.

Most men start to go bald in middle age, with about 80% of men having some hair loss by the age of 70.

The male sex hormone testosterone plays a key role"

If this cream ends up working, look for a resurgence of 1980's style hair-bands making a huge comeback.

But now all he retains is that dopey look. Aging. Sad.

Haircuts are expensive. I'd rather have a head made out of a vegetable. That way I can just eat it everytime it gets too long.

Look at me! Eyes famous!

:singer:

But I saw that news already and the breakthrough is pretty much going to only help stop baldness from happening, not restore hair that is already gone.

So my awesome combover skillz will have to continue to suffice. :buddies:

Hair is a part of our appearance. We all have to deal with the affects of aging related to our appearance. I don't like the way my body is changing over the years, but I have no choice but to accept it. I'm not trying to get a 20-somthing to date so what difference does it make?

And after all, isn't it REALLY all about the person inside? Well okay so mostly? Ok so having a hot bod helps, but still ....... at the end of the day, it's about how you are treated, and how you treat others that counts.

nhboy needs to grow up (unless he's just joking?) - he is under 25 right? If so, he can be excused for now, and we'll hope he grows up soon.

My hair is receding, but the sex-drive with the Mrs. is still exceeding or meeting all expectations....

At least she tells me that.....:smoochy:

as long as she's happy ...... you're good!

The gal I spoke to was wanting more of her hubby - apparently people end up mis-matched sexually I guess.
