Interesting... no more "I'm on the pill" only later to find out that you are going to be a father... (You men are always in here anyway)
The procedure called RISUG (reversible inhibition of sperm under guidance) takes about 15 minutes with a doctor, is effective after about three days, and lasts for up to 10 years. A doctor applies some local anesthetic, makes a small pinhole in the base of the scrotum, reaches in with a pair of very thin forceps, and pulls out the small white vas deferens tube. Then, the doctor injects a polymer called Vasalgel, pushes the vas deferens back inside, puts a band aid over the small hole, and the man is on his way. If this all sounds incredibly simple and inexpensive, that’s because it is. The chemicals themselves cost less than the syringe used to administer them. But the science of what happens next is the really fascinating part.

Mmm pity that it won't be available in the US until at least 2015.

It is a pity... just think of all the abortions that could be prevented and.... of course other issues like unwanted children they will never be responsible for....
We should offer this free to inmates being released from prison - fully paid by us tax payers... I don't mind! :yay:

Not just inmates. In the wide spectrum of available men, they shouldn't be forgotten. The procedure is clearly very inexpensive to do and 100 percent effective.

Good. I hated taking the pill everyday for what seemed like forever. Not to mention paying for it myself (until I was in a serious relationship and made the guy pay for it sometimes)

Imagine the help it could also bring to third world countries. Anything that doesn't scare :faint: a man into running from a solution is certainly a welcome addition anywhere I'm sure.

How about when a dead beat dad cannot support his 30 children?
Good grief...
Man who fathered 30 kids says he needs a break (http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/man-fathered-30-kids-needs-break-child-support-140439765.html)
If something like this was available, perhaps this guy would have done it after a few kids.

Somwthing like this is avaialble, it's called a VASECTOMY..
As an "ectomy" of the Vas Deferens. Not much difference in the procedures. Hole in the scrotum. Yep... Vas Deferens yanked out with a knitting needle... Yep... Stuffed back in? Yuuuuup.

Hmmm..... I am thinking the words hole and scrotum used in the same sentence would be enough for most men to take off for the hills......:cds:
