Has anybody fished or know if Gilbert Pond is public? I was also wondering about the ponds on the side of Rosewick Rd. in La Plata right after the railroad tracks. Used to see people back there years ago.
I've caught one decent bass so far....anybody catching anything good yet?

Gilbert Run is public. Good fishing spots from the shore or you can rent boats. Everything is catch and release.

I've fished many times at Gilbert and have always had a good time. You can bring your own boat too - they have a boat ramp. If you bring a boat, its strictly electric motor only.

I have been to Gilbert Run many times. Gilbert Pond is off of Carrico Mill Rd. which is off of Keech/Oaks Rd. a few miles from Gilbert Run
