"Emotions ran high last week when an atheist group asked UTSA students to trade in their Bibles for pornographic magazines.
On Monday afternoon, the group set up a table on campus for their "Smut for Smut" trade offer. The group featured a sign at their table that read, "Trade in Holy Text 4 Porn."
Nearby, some students gathered in protest by reading their Bibles and praying.
After the event, the atheist group posted on their Twitter page (https://twitter.com/#!/AtheistAgenda), "Too often are we ignored this seems to get people to actually talk to us instead of ignore us."
The atheist group tells KENS 5 that it will donate all of its Bibles to local libraries.

Hmmm... I don't think the Atheist group would be brave enough to try this in a Muslim country.

That may get people to talk to them, but it sure as hell won't get anyone to respect them which basically defeats their intentions making them impotent with porn.

True, not many Muslims have Bibles.
"Bible" is a generic term for any religious holy book. The Qur'an is considered the Muslim Bible.
The point is that the Atheist group would not have a very successful attempt by going into an Islamic country and telling Muslims there is no god. The reception of such Atheist plan would not be the same as it is in America.
When it comes to confronting Christians and mocking Jesus Christ, Atheists are brave but when it comes to confronting Muslims and mocking Al'lah and Muhammad Atheists are cowards. :coffee:

No it isn't. I'm sorry, I've never heard the Qur'an described as "the Muslim Bible". And I don't see you zipping over to any Muslim country to introduce them to the joys of Christianity and mocking Muhammad while you're at it. You'd rather hang out in this forum to do that.

Can't find the will or desire to support what they did.
Just because someone may be an atheist doesn't mean they are void of morals, values and ethics..
This leads people to believe the stereotypes..
Maybe they'd be better served by wearing atheist t-shirts and volunteering at homeless shelters, or volunteering to help build playgrounds in needy neighborhoods..
This was beyond stupid.

Re-read Post #7I read it. That may be true, but you understood the context of the OP, and for that it was funny.

Yes, funny only because when one hears the word "Bible" they think of the Christian Bible rather than understanding that it is only a generic term for a book considered "sacred" by a specific group.
Same goes for the term "God". Any Theist can say they believe in God but each religion has a different interpretation of who their god is. Truth is...
There Is Only One God and ONLY One Truth

Even on a frivolous topic like this a discussion with you is annoying. :ohwell:

According to their website it included more than the Bible...
We’ve set up a table where people can stop by and donate their religious reading material and – if they desire, and if they are old enough – receive a number of porn magazines. This can include fundamental texts like the Koran, the Bible, or Dianetics; religious apologia and self-help like Warren’s The Purpose-Driven Life and Lewis’s Mere Christianity; or those unnerving little tracts that Jack Chick makes.
