O'Malley is an idiot, because counties have been operatiing with interoperability radios (one way or another) for years either by patching channels at the Counties EOC (for radio systems that cannot commincate with each other) or zoning their radio to the jurisdiction they are responding to. Heck, Charles County can talk to Fairfax County :shrug:...
I am sure the State of Maryland is going to give money to local jurisdictions (Counties) to ensure PG Counties new 700 Mhz system will work with Calvert Counties archaic system - while it all meshes with Charles Counties 800Mhz.
