Between St. Mary's Lake Loop, Rosaryville and Cedarville there are some fairly decent mountain biking destinations in southern Maryland. Where do you ride? Cedarville State Forest Mountain Bike Trail Ride (http://gobikemd.com/2012/04/16/cedarville-state-forest-mountain-bike-trail-ride/)

If you do not mind dodging horse droppings, Greenwell is not a bad place to hike or bike at.

I've only ever been to St. Mary's Lake.

What is the access road to Cedarville?

Cedarville State Forest also has the same piles to dodge.

I hiked a little there in the past I must have missed the trails that were in use by horses.

I used to mountain bike at Cedarville every week. Sold my bike a couple years ago, now I wish I hadn't.

Greenwell is good for hiking, but for the bike the trails aren't quite as solid singletrack. It is a nice park though and a great resource.

301 to Cedarville Rd. Park entrance is on the right. This page has an embedded map to show the way.

I agree, it is a great resource. Ever fish off of the shore there?

I can say that I have fished in the pond at Cedarville, I have not fished at Greenwell. I did not have much luck. I hope to fish Greenwell before the end of the summer this year.
