Bob and I used quite a few of these in our basement. They are so easy to use, and best of all.......no leaks.

I used one the other day to replace a cheap a$$ leaky saddle valve. Very easy to install and no leaks. I'll admit I was skeptical at first, but now I'm sold.

A POS saddle valve for the ice maker on the new frig. It didn't work worth a crap. Put a "T" type shark bite in and reduced it down to the 1/4 copper tubing for the frig and voila. I got ice and water coming out of the frig. :yahoo:

I don't know how you lived so long without an ice maker. It would probably kill me to go without ice for even a day.

When Taylor gas was running gas line for the water heater I was doing the plumbing.. less then 30 minutes i had the cold and hot lines from the old water heater across the room to the new.

Guys from Taylor were impressed, and asked about price.. they had to do some ciphering, but figured the 'bites' (there are gator bites too) were cheaper compared to the labor of sweating pipes... And a lot less tools and other stuff to carry.

They don't have to be perfectly straight from one pipe to the next either. Just don't use the plastic ones. If they have a crack, you're gonna be SOL.
