I thought I'd share, this pretty rose is from Historic Sotterly. : ) Its the Mable Stern rose. It bloomed this weekend. It was propogated from the original bush at Historic Sotterly planted in 1937 or 1932. : ) I dont remember which exact date (sorry). But did want to share. : )

Thanks RR! Historic Sotterly replied back on my facebook pic of this, I'm waiting confirmation of the year. This is the first year I dont have goats and they didnt eat them before it bloomed. :lol:

You have a rose from the original bush that was likely planted by slaves. JPC will be in your back yard with a weed whacker by the end of the week.

Once a year. You missed it :frown: It was the 28th. They have a plant sale (very, very cheap) and their plant swap (exchange) at the same time. You bring in plants and its all put on a table with everyone elses's then you grab a empty flat and get in line... and load up your flat! You can get in line as many times as you like. :yay:
