Man I knew the burners needed replacing, but holy cow! The bottoms were just gone! All done now. Ready to grill. Should have done the rocks too, but it'll do for now.

Lucky you. The flames have been getting lower so I replaced the $15 regulator and.....it didn't help. My burners look fine with fire coming from each hole but the output is just too low to cook anything. Hopefully this week I'll do some more surgery and try cleaning out the gas ports in the burners. It's only 5 years old and still looks good. Always something with home ownership :duh:

I had that problem once. Clean out the tubes going to the burners, I think that is what it took. Oh, also reseat the connection to the tank.

I did the latter today. I'm guessing that there is some rust in the burner tubes or the tubes that feed them. I would have cleaned them out today but the road was calling me and Ms Harley...

Last weekend I cleaned all the gunk out of my grill bottom and scrubbed the burners. Today I power washed my deck, furniture and coolers. Ready for summer!

My 10 year old Weber fired right up and cooked up some fine assed Porterhouses.

After doing some checking, it seems that the problem is not the burners, its the stupid tank valve that the hose screws into!! It's not opening all the way so as to let the gas out. :duh: I'll mess with it Monday and, if I can't free it up, hope that Lowes will exchange it. If you folks see an Italian looking guy flying above St Mary's county on Monday, you'll know I messed up...:yikes:
