I screwed up and lost my house back in 0'10 due to dumb financial decisions.

Now in 2012, things are better, and slowly still improving.
I have been able to get a newer.....okay, new car; which I did need.
I am also able to help my parents financially; who are on a fixed income; when they need it; and I am able to help my Brother and his family of six.
Just makes me feel good.

Can I ask why you did not choose a short sale or to file bankruptcy? Or were you not that financially invested in the house (had it for a short period of time)?
