Can anyone answer the question of why Calvert and Charles hold graduation in Prince George's County?

Is it because so many have moved from there and miss it.

Yes, it's a pet peeve. Over to that thread now.

I don't know about Calvert but there's no indoor arena large enough in Charles County for a graduation ceremony. At Westlake HS, the gymnasium and auditorum can barely fit all the graduating seniors -- no way you can fit the families there. North Point does their graduations at NPHS though.

As a star cub reporter you should be able to find that the Regency Discount Stadium was supposed to serve this function. Bet you can find that in the local press with less than three days searching.

I can't speak for the school board, but I would assume that the weather (daytime heat, primetime storms) might not be ideal for the graduations.

However, yes, when the stadium was built, it was going to be used for graduations (at least according to the BOCC at the time).

Not bad. Only two days this time.

Now, explain to me why Chuck Co remains saddled with paying off two-thirds of the debt on that white elephant.
