During a recent segment on his radio show Al Sharpton told his audience that Republicans see blacks like Hitler saw the Jews.

Obviously, Sharpton does not have much of a grasp on history.

Democrats discriminated against blacks. I don't understand why the Left worships this ignorant racist. His supporters must be products of our wonderful union-protected educational system.

No, not at all. Al, being an entrepreneur, is simply capitalizing on things that have happened in the past that stir and motivate people to give him money. That he may be repackaging them a bit here and there, OK, embellishing a tad. Fine, making #### up out of thin air, has little to do with supply and demand. He is smart enough to know how to match the two and his role in it. I mean, look at him. here is a guy who, by all rights, should be dismissed out of hand as a mere snake oil salesman and poor stuff at that. However, as a practical matter, he is a hugely powerful and influential politicians, the media and national discourse.

He is the only person who has gotten the left, their pols and the media all on the same page even if only for a few days or weeks.

For years he was disrespected by mainstream folks because of his radicalism, but then he seemed to moderate somewhat. Maybe he feels he needs to be radical again to renew his media attention. Should make people realize that whenever he speaks, be it freestyle as he did here or for an instance like the Trayvon case, all his words should be taken with a pile of salt.

I never understood why O'Reilly and other shows allowed Sharpton on to speak because I have always seen him as a hurtful force. But of late he seems to more hurtful (again).
