Do you have a serrated (sp?) kitchen knife; like a bread knife? Or an electric turkey carver? or a band saw? :lol:
I believe, once you cut it in half, you can use a cheese slicer; that's what I call it. It shaves "ribbons" of cheese from the inside.

They don't cut it. They hold a picture of Chuck Norris in front of it and the force of his aura causes the cheese to break in half.

Sawzall? Hacksaw? I know it's hard. Actually I think I would just grate off what I need unless you plan on bringing me some, then you can borrow my sawzall.:biggrin:

I've only bought small pieces; I usually just run it up against the grater. I have one of the 4 sided ones that includes a slicer side. Or I just use the vegetable peeler when I want "curls".

I would think that most stores have it. It's usually in the little cheese kiosk by the deli, not in the shredded cheddar section.
