THE high-school senior caught on camera locking lips with his hot-to-trot New York teacher won a bet with four of his buddies to see who would hook up with her first.

Eric Arty, 18, beat his pals - who each ponied up $100 - to win the jackpot as well as the affections of glamorous global-studies teacher Julie Warning, 26.

"It was a bet with a group of his friends," said Andrew Cabrera, a junior at Manhattan Theatre Lab HS, where Warning worked until Tuesday, when she was reassigned to an administrative job.

Well, seeing as this student was 18, would that not make it consensual, and not a "minor entrapment" situation?

Ethical problems for the teacher, yes, but hey, she was the one pursued by this gang. She can always plead she did it out of fear for her safety.....

Warning would face no criminal charges because Arty is not a minor. But she faces disciplinary action from the DOE if investigators decide that she and Arty were romantically involved.

Sums up nicely what I said in my original post #2. She could always say she played along just to get them to let her be. She could be a good actress as well.

Still doesn't answer the ethical questions, though.
