“The liberal social experiment with our military continues. A same-sex marriage-like ceremony should not have occurred at Fort Polk, especially since the people of Louisiana have made it abundantly clear that our state does not recognize same-sex marriages or civil unions,” Louisiana Republican Rep. John Fleming said on Wednesday.

I thought the idea was to leave it up to individual churches/religious officials to decide what they wanted to do. I was not under the impression that the presiding chaplain was forced to perform the ceremony.

I wonder from which state the marriage license was obtained? If the girlz went downtown and got a Louisiana license, they may not be really married after all.
