That's the 80's/90's version. The Outernet v1.3 was back in the 50s/60s. A service provider was the only country doc within 10 miles who made house calls. There was no eBay, Amazon, Twitter or FaceBook. The OuterNet was fields of meadow grass, trails thru the woods, expanses of open beaches, camping in the woods with no fear. The 'net' and 'cloud' was every mom in the county knowing exactly where you were and what you were doing, and as a direct result, so did YOUR mom. Bicycling 5 miles to get the snail mail because you had to, not because it was 'sport'.


Walking 20 miles to school in the snow uphill both ways!!! :lol:
